LA 2028 adds Deloitte to Olympic Games sponsorship portfolio

Professional services firm Deloitte has signed a seven-year deal to sponsor the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The deal, which designates Deloitte as the official professional services provider of the event, will see the company develop strategic solutions that deliver ‘an innovative and technologically advanced’ experience for athletes, fans and partners during the Games.

As part of the agreement, Deloitte has also extended its backing of Team USA until 2028, prolonging a partnership that started in 2009.

The company also plans to provide services to LA 2028 and Team USA which it says will ‘help the Games come to life behind the scenes’.

Commenting on the deal, Stacy Janiak, managing partner and chief growth officer at Deloitte, said the firm will be supporting LA 2028 with “management and business consulting services”. 

Kathy Carter, chief revenue officer of LA 2028, added: “Leveraging Deloitte's abilities across numerous industry sectors, we're looking at the fan journey like never before and connecting the experience in ways that will completely transform the Games.”

Deloitte is the third major sponsor of LA 2028, joining Delta Air Lines and Comcast, the parent company of US broadcaster NBC, which holds the US media rights to the Olympics until 2032.

Financial terms of Deloitte’s deal were not made public. Delta Air Lines is paying a reported US$400 million to sponsor the Games, which were awarded to Los Angeles back in 2017.
